Nice design :) I think ninetails is quite difficult to make to whole piece look (then I get difficulties expressing myself) "balanced". This piece is well propotioned. No really thin body or spindedly  (spider like) front legs. Tails also worked out great. With ninetails I see the tail becomeing very long and chaotically shaped often.

When I start on my own ninetails (in a possible future :P) I will remember making the tail more thick than long and the body a bit smaller then the drawn figure tells. To the inspiration pile :)
